Winning two victories in one day, Nguyen Anh Minh entered the US Junior Amateur quarterfinals for the second consecutive time.

TPO - The second day of competition at Trinity Forest (Dallas, Texas) witnessed a top performance by Nguyen Anh Minh, the number 1 young talent of Vietnamese golf. After two consecutive knockout matches on the same day, Anh Minh continued to assert his mettle in the most prestigious youth arena in the US, winning the right to enter the quarterfinals of the US Junior Amateur Championship for the second consecutive time.

In the morning round of 16, Anh Minh faced Liangliang Gu, a young golfer from China with a very solid playing style. The match was tense right from the first holes.

Despite being chased fiercely by his opponent, Anh Minh still maintained his composure and gradually took the initiative. The 18-year-old golfer ended the match with a 2&1 victory, thereby advancing straight to the round of 16 in an excited mood.

The afternoon challenge was even bigger when Anh Minh faced Aydent Fynaut, the 6th seed and also one of the championship candidates of the tournament. The opening match was not favorable when Anh Minh was quickly 2Up behind after the first 2 holes. However, the Vietnamese golfer was not discouraged. He gradually regained his rhythm, equalized the score and exploded with accurate shots on the following holes.

The turning point came midway through the round when Anh Minh took a 2Up lead after 10 holes. His confidence and control of the match allowed him to maintain his advantage, before sealing a convincing 2&1 victory over a stronger ranked opponent.

With two consecutive victories in just one day, Nguyen Anh Minh entered the top 8 golfers of the tournament for the second time. In the quarterfinals, Anh Minh will face Nicholas Gross, seeded No. 14, another home representative who is very familiar with the Trinity Forest course.

The journey at the US Junior Amateur 2025 continues to open up new challenges, but with his current form, Nguyen Anh Minh is showing that he is fully capable of competing on equal terms with the world's top young talents.
