According to the publisher, the book shows that author Furuta Motoo has been diligently researching Vietnamese history and culture and rewriting it from his own hard work over nearly half a century. This book can be considered a summary of his research on Vietnam when he is over seventy years old and still continues to love Vietnam through his endless exploration, research, and interpretation.

The book will also add to the knowledge base of domestic and foreign readers a lot of new knowledge and new perspectives, helping readers have a more comprehensive and vivid view of Vietnamese history through the perspective of a foreign professor./.
