The epic poem "Under the Forest Canopy" has 5 chapters: Name, March, Under the Forest Canopy, Those Who Are Not Anonymous, Return; an overview of the history of the Battalion named after People's Armed Forces Hero Pham Thi Thao.
Meanwhile, the work "Ba Thao Battalion" by Colonel, journalist, poet Le Anh Dung is a synthesis of essays, reports, and notes, reflecting quite comprehensively the resounding victories as well as the sacrifices and losses of the female soldiers of Ba Thao Battalion in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tuan shared: “The epic poem "Under the Forest Canopy" by Mr. Bui Cong Minh has summarized the history of the Battalion named after the People's Armed Forces Hero Pham Thi Thao, with many emotional levels, recording the personal stories of the people involved, the surging emotions of the listeners, recording and retelling. Especially through poetry, he recounted a difficult and heroic time, a period when sons and daughters, following the call of their homeland, nation, and patriotism, took up arms to fight off foreign invaders.”

Born during the fiercest years of the resistance war against the US to save the country, the 232nd Women's Transport Battalion (Ba Thao Battalion) had the task of transporting weapons to serve the fight, transferring wounded soldiers to the rear; opening roads, and producing food on the route from Highway 9 in Southern Laos to the Central provinces.
Especially transporting weapons to serve the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of Mau Than in 1968. During the period of 1968-1972, the Battalion transported nearly 200 tons of weapons, ammunition, and food; at the same time, it produced and harvested food, ensuring logistics for the unit.
