Khuat Duc Hung and his friends came here from Nam Tu Liem to offer prayers early in the morning on the full moon day: "People often say 'Going to prayers all year round is not as good as offering prayers on the full moon day of the 7th lunar month', so we invited each other to come here early in the morning, partly to avoid the crowds, partly to have more time to pray for good things to come to our loved ones."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Tram (who sells water at the gate of Tay Ho Palace) said: "The people who come to visit at this time are all young people, the elderly usually go more during the day. Normally, people only visit at night on the first or first days of the new year, and on the full moon of the month, few people come to visit in the early morning like this, but this year, the full moon falls on the Vu Lan festival, so many people come."
