Hanoi

To welcome the new year 2025, Hanoi will hold a music festival and countdown on the evening of December 31 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc and Cach Mang Thang Tam squares.

In addition, the city will organize fireworks displays at 5 locations (6 locations) in Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem districts, Son Tay town and Dong Anh district. The fireworks display will last 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025.

In Hoan Kiem district

The Commercial Center Building at 7 Dinh Tien Hoang (also known as the Shark Jaw Building) is always a "hot" spot for visitors to watch fireworks. The building has many restaurants and cafes. This address is also a place often chosen by photographers because they can take photos between the two directions of fireworks and the entire lake.

Skybars such as Ignite Sky Bar, Terraco Sky Bar, Sol Sky Bar located on the rooftops of hotels in the old quarter such as Cau Go, Hang Dau, Bao Khanh are ideal places to watch fireworks.

These bars all accept reservations and open from around 8pm. Tickets to watch the fireworks, including drinks, music, DJs, and a countdown, range from 500,000 to 1.2 million VND per person.

High floors of some hotels such as Melia Hanoi, Pan Pacific, Movenpick Hanoi, Apricot Hotel, Silk Path Hotel, Grand Hotel du Lac Hanoi, can also observe fireworks.

In Nam Tu Liem district

The fireworks display location is located at the F1 racetrack in Phu Do Ward, with a spacious space and a public fireworks viewing area. The My Dinh Stadium Square on Le Duc Tho Street can accommodate thousands of people.

Apartment buildings nearby such as The Manor, Golden Palace Me Tri, The Matrix One, My Dinh Pearl are all convenient for observing fireworks.

Sky Bar on the top floor of Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel has a direct view of the fireworks display. Entrance fees start from 250,000 VND for a drink and from 500,000 VND for unlimited drinks. There is also a buffet party starting from 1.7 million VND per person; the countdown party has a game show. Time from 10pm on December 31 to 1:30am on January 1, 2025.

In Ha Dong district

The fireworks display is at Van Quan Lake. This is a public area with playgrounds, parks, and paths around the lake. All apartment buildings can see the fireworks.

Some coffee shops open through New Year's Eve in Van Quan Lake area: Fordeer Coffee, Cuc Cu Coffee, Xanh Cafe, Laika Cafe.

In Dong Anh district and Son Tay town

The fireworks display location is at the Dong Anh District Sports Center and Son Tay Citadel. These areas have no tall buildings or obstructions, so fireworks can be easily observed from all directions in residential areas.

Da Nang City

Da Nang has two low-altitude fireworks display locations on the occasion of New Year's Eve 2025, including the Hoa Vang District Administrative Center and Nguyen Van Troi Bridge across the Han River - the intersection between September 2 Street and Duy Tan Street.

SKY36 - Rooftop Nightclub

Address: 36-38 Bach Dang, Hai Chau

SKY36 is located on the 35th-37th floors of a luxury hotel on Bach Dang Street, one of the highest rooftop bars in Da Nang. The bar has a 360-degree panoramic view, making it easy to watch the fireworks from Nguyen Van Troi Bridge.

Prices here range from 500,000 - 1 million VND per person. The bar opens from 6am - 2am every day. On the evening of December 31, the bar will have a countdown party to welcome the new year. Visitors need to book a table in advance if they want to attend.

Memory Lounge

Address: 7 Bach Dang, Hai Chau

A famous restaurant and cafe in Da Nang located on the banks of the Han River, with a direct view of the city's iconic bridges such as Nguyen Van Troi and Dragon Bridge. The restaurant is designed to float on the water, with outdoor and indoor areas.

This address is about 1.5 km from Nguyen Van Troi Bridge as the crow flies, visitors can clearly observe the fireworks display. The cost of food at the restaurant ranges from 400,000 - 700,000 VND per person.

DHC Marina (DHC Yacht)

Address: 32 Tran Hung Dao, Son Tra district

DHC Marina entertainment and restaurant complex is located on the east bank of the Han River, 600-700 meters from Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, with a direct view of the fireworks display area. The complex includes a restaurant, bar and deck serving many entertainment needs.

The restaurant here serves European and Asian dishes, with fresh seafood and steak being the highlights. Drinks include cocktails, wine and craft beer. The cost of food and entertainment here ranges from 500,000 VND per person. On the evening of December 31, visitors need to book a table in advance to have a good spot to watch the fireworks.

Cruise on the Han River

Tourists can choose to experience floating on the Han River and enjoy the colorful light party from the cruise. 4U Danang Yacht, Danang Dragon Cruise, RV Han Princess or Han Giang, Ocean Tour all offer dinner on the cruise, watching fireworks on the river.

The cruises depart from the Han River port, taking visitors on a one-hour cruise along the river, then stopping at a fireworks viewing point. During this time, visitors can watch the fireworks show, dine and enjoy music on board.

Cruise fares including meals range from 1.1 to 3 million VND. The upper deck and bow areas are usually more expensive than seats on the lower decks or in air-conditioned rooms.

Ho Chi Minh City

The 2025 New Year fireworks display will take place at three locations. The high-altitude display will be at the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc City; and two low-altitude displays will be at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11 and Van Phuc Urban Area in Thu Duc City. The fireworks will be displayed from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025.

Towa - Japanese Cuisine & Lounge

Address: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 1

This Japanese restaurant is located on the 28th floor of a building on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 1, with a 360-degree view of Ho Chi Minh City from above. From here, visitors can observe the high-altitude fireworks display on New Year's Day.

On the night of December 31, the restaurant serves a specially designed menu for the New Year's Eve program, priced at VND2.9 million per person. The main course includes fresh sashimi and A5 Wagyu beef.

Zion Sky Lounge & Dining

Address: 87A Ham Nghi, District 1

This venue combines a bar and a restaurant, located on the rooftop of a building on Ham Nghi Street, District 1. With an open space and panoramic view of the city, visitors can observe high-altitude fireworks at Zion.

During holidays and Tet, the restaurant is often full, visitors should book a table at least 6 hours in advance. The cost of meals here ranges from 500,000 VND per person. The restaurant opens from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM daily.

Twilight Rooftop

Address: Binh An Ward, Thu Duc City

The cafe and bar located in Thu Duc City has a prime location on the Saigon River, with a direct view of Thu Thiem Bridge and Saigon Bridge. The shop has an open rooftop space, making it easy to watch the fireworks.

Drinks here range from juices to creative cocktails. Drink prices range from 80,000 VND per portion. The bar opens from 4:30 PM to past midnight. On New Year's Eve, the bar is expected to be fully booked, so visitors should come early or book in advance to get a good spot to watch the fireworks.

Cruise on the Saigon River

Address: No. 5, Nguyen Tat Thanh, District 4

Cruises with open space and unobstructed views are also an interesting choice for tourists to watch fireworks in the city center. Sightseeing cruises and dinner cruises on the river often anchor at Saigon Port, District 4.

Ben Nghe, Indochina Queen or Hon Ngoc Vien Dong provide dinner and fireworks viewing services on the night of December 31. The cruise ships pick up passengers at Saigon port, move along the river and drop off passengers at the departure point. The pick-up point is about 4 km from the high-altitude fireworks display.

There are many seating areas on the ship. The best places to watch the fireworks are outdoors or on the deck. To get a good spot, you should book your tickets in advance.

Cruise ships also organize art programs, music performances or magic shows. Cruise fares, including meals, range from 400,000 to over a million VND. Some units apply additional surcharges on holidays.
