Contribute to the development of the movement to encourage learning and talent

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - After many years of construction and development, the movement to encourage learning and talent (KH, KT) in the province has developed strongly, widely and spread from favorable areas to difficult areas. This is not only the result of the attention of Party committees and authorities, the consensus of all classes of people, the efforts of the Association for Promoting Learning (HKH) at all levels, but also the result of the contribution of businesses.

The biggest goal of the science and technology movement is to motivate, encourage, create opportunities and conditions for all people to study and self-study, study regularly, study for life... From that meaning, along with the task of building a strong association organization, the Science and Technology Association at all levels in the province always pay attention and actively mobilize agencies, units, enterprises and businessmen to participate in science and technology activities, especially the task of building a scholarship fund. Responding to the call and mobilization of the Science and Technology Association, many enterprises inside and outside the province have actively participated with practical activities that make important contributions to the development of the science and technology movement in the province.

Evidence shows that, along with production and business activities, since its establishment, Long Son Cement Company has always paid attention to social security activities, including supporting poor but studious students. On average, each year the company spends from 500 to more than 700 million VND to award scholarships to poor but studious students in the whole province. For example, in 2024, 120 scholarships with a total value of 756 million VND were awarded to orphaned primary and secondary school students with especially difficult circumstances in the province. This is the 9th consecutive year that Long Son Cement Company has organized scholarships for poor students in the province. Deputy General Director of Long Son Cement Company Le Tien Dung shared: “The scholarships sent to students with especially difficult circumstances demonstrate the concern of the company's leaders as well as distributors to support them to reduce difficulties in life so that their path to school is more open. In the coming time, the company will continue to accompany the province's education promotion movement to be able to support and help more students with difficult circumstances to excel in their studies.”

In many other units and enterprises such as Tien Son Thanh Hoa Joint Stock Company, Lam Son Sugarcane Joint Stock Company, Western Rural Investment and Development Company... activities responding to the building of the science and technology movement have also been effectively implemented. For example, in addition to supporting funding to establish a scholarship fund at units in Bim Son ward; sponsoring the studies of students with special circumstances in the whole province, every year Tien Son Thanh Hoa Joint Stock Company also sets aside 5 scholarships, each worth 5 million VND to award to poor students who excel in their studies under the "Lifting Dreams" Scholarship Fund program...

Practically responding to the movement "Tet to encourage learning" in Thanh Xuan At Ty 2025, many enterprises have donated billions of VND to the province's education promotion fund. For example, Tien Nong Agricultural and Industrial Corporation donated 1.5 billion VND; Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited donated 1 billion VND; Hop Luc Corporation donated 500 million VND; Hai Tien Investment and Tourism Company Limited donated 200 million VND; Hoang Tuan Company Limited donated 200 million VND... The support and assistance of enterprises for the science and technology movement and the meaningful scholarships sent to students in difficult circumstances is not only sharing, but also a social responsibility for human development that enterprises have identified throughout the production and business process of their units.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tien Son Thanh Hoa Joint Stock Company Trinh Xuan Lam shared: “Each gift and each scholarship sent to the children contains the hearts of the company's staff and workers. I believe that when the community gives them strength, they will have more confidence and determination to overcome the difficulties ahead, and continue to firmly step on the path of establishing themselves and their careers.”

According to statistics of the provincial HKH, currently, the total scholarship fund in the whole province has reached over 410 billion VND. This result has an important contribution from the business community inside and outside the province. The companionship of businesses is a noble humanitarian act, from here many truly capable students are not wasted because they have not completed their schooling. This also contributes to social justice, while promoting the strong development of education in both scale and quality that the education sector itself cannot do.
