Thuong Ninh Commune held a launching ceremony to call for support for the Cuban people.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of September 9, Thuong Ninh commune organized a launching ceremony to call for support for the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Huu Tuat, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Commune People's Council and more than 60 cadres, civil servants, public employees, Secretaries, village chiefs, principals of schools, Military Command, and Commune Police.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuong Ninh commune called for the spirit of "helping friends is also helping yourself", promoting the tradition of humanity, affection and the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba. He hoped that agencies, units, schools, businesses, organizations, individuals and people in the area would unite, be unanimous, and actively join hands to support and contribute to helping the Cuban people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. The level of mobilization is voluntary; for civil servants, public employees, and people receiving salaries from the State budget, the mobilization level is at least equal to one day's salary.

Responding to the call, delegates, officials, union members and members actively participated in contributing. As a result, the total amount of donations at the launching ceremony was over 12 million VND. The campaign period will last until October 9, 2025.
