Domestic coffee prices today

Specifically, in Di Linh, Lam Ha, Bao Loc districts ( Lam Dong ), today's coffee price is purchased at 120,800 VND/kg.

In Cu M'gar district ( Dak Lak ), today's coffee price is at 121,700 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district (Dak Lak), Buon Ho (Dak Lak), today's coffee price is purchased at the same level of 121,600 VND/kg.

Similarly in Dak Nong province, today's coffee purchase price is at 120,800 VND/kg in Gia Nghia and 120,700 VND/kg in Dak R'lap.

In Gia Lai province, coffee price today is at 120,700 VND/kg (Chu Prong), in Pleiku and La Grai the price is 120,600 VND/kg.

Today's coffee price in Kon Tum province is purchased at 120,700 VND/kg.

Every year, in the third quarter, people in the Central Highlands begin harvesting coffee. Some growers have started harvesting early, but the overall situation is not very optimistic with the domestic market quiet before the new 2024/25 crop.

Coffee prices are expected to fall in October as Vietnam begins harvesting due to increased supply. Drought has reduced the size of coffee cherries, leading to an expected 10% to 15% reduction in production. Domestically, drought has also reduced coffee yields, but high coffee prices have helped growers earn better incomes than last year.

Forecasts suggest a fourth consecutive global coffee deficit, driven by lower production in Vietnam and Brazil, but prices will remain supported by fundamentals in the coming months. Both countries have been hit by poor weather, with prolonged heatwaves affecting the flowering and fruiting stages of coffee plants.

World coffee prices today

At the end of the most recent trading session, the price of Robusta coffee in London for November 2024 delivery decreased by 265 USD/ton, at 5,180 USD/ton, and for January 2025 delivery decreased by 256 USD/ton, at 4,923 USD/ton.

Arabica coffee price for December 2024 delivery decreased by 4.30 cents/lb, at 229.85 cents/lb, and for March 2025 delivery decreased by 4.20 cents/lb, at 257.95 cents/lb.

In Lam Dong and Dak Lak, coffee has begun to ripen early. Although production has decreased due to drought, high coffee prices have helped growers earn better income than last year. It is expected that from the end of October 2024, when Vietnam enters the harvest season, coffee production will increase and exports could reach 6 billion USD.
