According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, on October 7, heavy rain caused flooding in many areas, schools proactively notified students not to go to school and switched to online learning.
Schools proactively assign principals, teachers, and staff to be on duty at school to carry out storm prevention work.
According to a survey by Dan Tri reporters, schools in the wards of Cau Giay, Yen Hoa, Ha Dong, Thanh Tri, Giang Vo... this morning all announced early school closure, before 6am.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, the leader of Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that in the coming days, schools will proactively plan online teaching or let students stay home. In case parents bring students to school, the school board must arrange for careful supervision of the students.
“To ensure the safety of students and teachers, we request that units and affiliated educational institutions proactively monitor weather developments in the coming days to promptly and flexibly handle situations in teaching and learning, and switch from in-person teaching to online teaching if necessary.
When the water recedes, schools will proactively clean classrooms and prevent epidemics to welcome students back to school safely," the Hanoi Department of Education and Training emphasized.
Previously, in response to storm No. 11, within just 24 hours (night of October 5 to 6), the Hanoi Department of Education and Training issued 3 notices to schools.
This is considered a positive response by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to deal with the floods, instead of a slow response that caused parents to panic like the floods on September 30.

In the above three notices, the department requires schools to closely monitor information with families, and at the same time proactively apply flexible teaching methods to ensure safety for students and teachers.
