According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, schools, based on the actual situation, especially in areas directly affected by heavy rain and strong winds, can decide to let students temporarily stop attending school or switch to online learning. This is to minimize risks and ensure absolute safety for students.
At the same time, schools are required to promptly notify parents and students through various channels to avoid being passive.
Along with the flexible teaching and learning plan, the Department of Education and Training also directed educational institutions to urgently inspect and reinforce the school system, especially parking lots, trees, and electrical equipment. Schools must proactively coordinate with local authorities and functional agencies to promptly respond to and handle arising incidents.
After the storm passes, educational institutions need to quickly check the current state of their facilities and report to the Department of Education and Training. In case of damage or loss, they need to develop a plan to quickly stabilize teaching and learning.
According to the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, allowing students to stay home from school or study online is not only a temporary solution to cope with the storm, but also a flexibility of the education sector to ensure the safety of students while maintaining learning progress.
