Hanoi inspects the operations of three taxi cooperatives after feedback from Giao Thong Newspaper

Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate inspected and reviewed all vehicle documents and commercial vehicles of 3 taxi transport cooperatives after a report from Giao thong Newspaper.

The Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate has just reported to the Department of Transport regarding the inspection and handling work after Giao Thong Newspaper published a series of articles: "Infiltrating the "magic" line of transport business vehicles". Specifically, according to the Department of Transport Inspectorate, on November 21, 2024, this agency worked with the Directors of 3 Cooperatives including: Hung Thinh Transport Service Cooperative, Binh Minh Transport Service Cooperative and Toan Phat Transport Service Cooperative to verify and clarify the contents reflected by Giao Thong Newspaper.

The situation of taxis using fake license plates was reported by Giao Thong Newspaper.

At the meeting, representatives of the 3 Cooperatives coordinated to provide all relevant records and documents for the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate to check, verify and clarify the reported contents according to regulations.

Based on the above contents, the Inspector of the Department of Transport recommends that the Hanoi Department of Transport approve the assignment of the Head of the inspection team and members of the inspection team according to Decision No. 5126 of the Director of the Hanoi Department of Transport.

Accordingly, it will check the compliance with the provisions of the law on business and conditions for passenger transport business by car under contract, conduct inspection and review of all vehicle documents and cars used for transport business of 3 Cooperatives according to the content reflected by Giao thong Newspaper, propose to revoke the badges for cars using fake license plates as reflected and cars that do not meet the conditions to participate in transport business according to current regulations.

Previously, on September 11, September 14 and September 17, 2024, Giao thong Newspaper published a series of articles: "Infiltrating the "magic" line of transport business vehicles". In which it reflected the phenomenon of transport units using fake license plates, "using the trick of fake registration in the form: After the vehicle owner takes a photo and sends the vehicle registration, through photoshop software, the letter T is erased and replaced with the letter V.

Next, images of documents such as fake transport business registration and transport business vehicle registration papers will be sent to the notary office for authentication without the need for the original. The documents will then be uploaded to the website of the Hanoi Department of Transport to request a badge.

From here, the Hanoi Department of Transport requests the Department of Transport Inspectorate to strengthen the management of passenger transport business activities by car under contract.
