Hanoi: The 2026 military enlistment ceremony will be held at 8 locations.

On October 3, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son signed and issued Plan No. 273/KH-UBND of the City People's Committee on selecting and calling citizens to join the army and perform their duty to join the People's Public Security in 2026.

The City People's Committee requests to properly implement the Party's guidelines, policies and the State's laws; promote the role and responsibility of agencies, organizations and the entire political system, and members of the Military Service Council (NVQS) in implementing military recruitment work.

The goal is to recruit sufficient quantity, ensure quality, follow correct principles and procedures, ensure fairness, democracy, transparency, and compliance with the law; promptly resolve any problems and difficulties that arise.

Localities organize propaganda, dissemination, and education to raise awareness and responsibility of people and youth in implementing the Law on Military Service and the Law on People's Public Security, including reviewing and re-examining the source of citizens of military age (especially for citizens who have graduated from colleges and universities).

Localities organize preliminary selection, health examination for military service and performance of service in the People's Public Security; complete and review the records of citizens joining the army and performing service in the People's Public Security; coordinate with military units to receive soldiers, organize military handover and reception ceremonies to ensure unity, compliance with regulations, solemnity, joy, safety and economy.

In particular, it is necessary to promote the role and responsibility of the local political system in implementing the selection steps at the grassroots level; to well implement the policy of visiting and giving gifts to citizens joining the army and performing their duty to join the People's Public Security before, during and after military service.

The military enlistment ceremony will be held at 8 locations in the city. The review and understanding of the source of citizens of military age will be completed before October 15, 2025. The preliminary health screening at communes and wards will be completed before November 15; health examinations for citizens called for military service and performing their duties in the People's Public Security will be held from November 16 to December 30, 2025. The military enlistment ceremony will be held at 8:00 a.m. on March 4, 2026 (ie January 16, Binh Ngo year).
