Hanoi: launching Tet tree planting festival

Kinhtedothi - On February 6, at the Mieu Men historical relic site (Ba Vi district), the Hanoi Women's Union launched the Tree Planting Festival following Uncle Ho's teachings - "Women cultivate the future" Spring At Ty 2025.

Before the ceremony, delegates offered incense and flowers at the Mieu Men historical relic site - the place to worship Queen Mother Man, who gave birth to, raised and dedicated to the nation two heroines Trung Trac and Trung Nhi (two female generals of the uprising to drive out foreign invaders).

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh said that over the past 65 years, the Tet tree planting festival following Uncle Ho's teachings has truly brought great benefits to the country and become a good custom of our people every time Tet comes and Spring comes.

Tree planting and afforestation have made an important contribution to proactively preventing and combating natural disasters, regulating the climate, improving the ecological environment, beautifying the natural landscape, developing the country's socio -economy in a sustainable manner, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

Remembering President Ho Chi Minh 's advice, celebrating the glorious Party's 95th birthday, and celebrating the Spring of At Ty 2025, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Women's Union organized the Tet tree planting program following Uncle Ho's teachings - "Women cultivate the future" Spring At Ty 2025.

This is the starting event for a special and exciting emulation period of all levels of the Women's Union and all classes of women in the capital to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, the Patriotic Emulation Congresses at all levels and major holidays in 2025, the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8, and the 1985 anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising.

The Executive Committee of the Hanoi Women's Union requests that all levels of the Union and each cadre, member, woman in the capital and their families actively participate in environmental protection through specific and practical actions, planting, caring for and protecting trees; improving the quality of roads and streets managed by women; implementing the 3 cleans (clean from home, clean alleys, clean streets), sorting garbage at households, responding to the emulation movement "Bright-Green-Clean-Beautiful" launched by the City People's Committee. Each Union base registers a green tree project, striving for all levels of the Women's Union in the city to plant 5,000 trees and fruit trees.

On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the City Women's Union also launched the contest "Blooming Roads/Street" managed by women's unions at all levels in 2025. The entire city maintains and improves the quality of over 2,000 green, clean, and beautiful roads, streets, cultural houses, community activity spots, and historical sites.

"The flower-filled roads and streets that continue to be deployed in 30 districts, towns and cities will be meaningful projects and tasks towards the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union, celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025) and major national holidays in 2025" - Chairwoman of the City Women's Union Le Kim Anh emphasized.
