In contrast, in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region, JMA and ECMWF forecast a sunny trend in the morning and early afternoon, with temperatures reaching 33 to 34 degrees Celsius. From mid to late afternoon, there may be short showers and local thunderstorms. NOAA's model forecasts weather in the Tan Son Nhat airport area with sunny morning data, but with rain warnings in the evening.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the morning of October 1, the North and Thanh Hoa still had moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain. From the afternoon of October 1, this area still had scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain, but the level was not as high as in the morning.
