Hanoi: Nearly 2,000 household electrical products of unknown origin discovered

During the patrol and control process, Road Traffic Police Team No. 9 (Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police) coordinated with Vat Lai Commune Police to discover a truck transporting nearly 2,000 household electrical products of unknown origin, promptly handing them over to the authorities for handling.

Previously, on the afternoon of September 3, the working group of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 9 carried out a planned patrol and control mission on National Highway 32 (in Vat Lai commune). During the work, the working group received information from the people about a white, closed-box truck with license plate 30M-221.xx transporting goods of unknown origin, moving at high speed from Son Tay to Vat Lai for consumption.

Immediately after verifying the information, the working group reported to the unit's Command Board, coordinated with Vat Lai Commune Police to arrange forces, stop and check the above vehicle.

During the inspection, the authorities identified the driver as PQC (born in 1989; residing in Vat Lai commune, Hanoi ) who was transporting many carton boxes with foreign labels in the truck bed. Inside were nearly 2,000 household electrical products, including rechargeable fans and chargers of various types. At the time of inspection, the driver could not present documents proving the origin of the above goods.

The case has been handed over to Market Management Team No. 18 for further investigation, verification and handling in accordance with the law.
