Hanoi launches 13 teams to compete in national excellent student competition

GD&TĐ - On the morning of October 14, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to announce 13 teams of excellent students from the city to participate in the national excellent student exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

In the national excellent student exam for the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi has 247 students taking the exam in 13 subjects, including: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. Each team has 20 students; the Russian team has 19 students and the Japanese team has 8 students.

Of the 247 students, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted contributed 140 students to all 13 teams. Following were Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted (49 students), Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (36 students), Son Tay High School for the Gifted, Newton Secondary and High School (9 students), Quang Trung - Ha Dong High School (2 students), Hoang Long High School, Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School (1 student).

The 247 Hanoi students participating in the national excellent student competition are the most outstanding faces, the crystallization of intelligence, determination, morality and the unceasing desire to learn of the capital's students. To be on the official team, they had to overcome many rounds of competition, many stressful training sessions, demonstrating outstanding abilities and a spirit of perseverance and effort.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi students continued to affirm their leading position in the country in international competitions with 3 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 9 Bronze medals. Along with that, 200 students won prizes in the national excellent student competition, clearly affirming the position and prestige of the capital's key education.
