Hai Ha: Completed collecting public opinions on the Project on administrative unit arrangement

On April 17, communes and towns in Hai Ha district simultaneously carried out the collection of public opinions on the Project to rearrange commune-level administrative units in Hai Ha district and asked for opinions on the proposed names of commune-level administrative units.

To ensure proper implementation of regulations and procedures on the Project to arrange new administrative units at the commune level, Hai Ha district has issued a decision to establish 11 working groups to direct the organization of collecting voters' opinions and submit to People's Councils at all levels on the arrangement of administrative units at the commune level.

Quang Ha town working group went to each household to ask for opinions on the Project to arrange new commune-level administrative units.

Previously, the district had directed 11 communes and towns to compile and post voter lists at the cultural houses of 112 villages, hamlets and neighborhoods in the area. At the same time, it stepped up information and propaganda work on the loudspeaker system and social networking sites; publicized the plan to reorganize local administrative units, briefly assessed the standards on area and population of commune-level administrative units before and after reorganization and the conditions for reorganizing commune-level administrative units.

After the reorganization, Hai Ha district consists of 4 commune-level administrative units: Establishing Cai Chien commune on the basis of maintaining the administrative unit of Cai Chien commune, with headquarters located in the current Cai Chien commune; establishing Quang Ha commune on the basis of merging 4 communes and towns: Quang Ha town, Quang Minh commune, Quang Chinh commune, Quang Phong commune and village 1, village 2 of Quang Long commune, with headquarters located in the current Quang Ha town; establishing Duong Hoa commune on the basis of merging 3 communes: Duong Hoa, Quang Son, Quang Long (except village 1, village 2), with headquarters located in the current Quang Long commune; establishing Quang Duc commune on the basis of merging 3 communes: Quang Duc, Quang Thanh, Quang Thinh, with headquarters located in the current Quang Thanh commune.

With the active participation of all levels and localities, by 4:00 p.m. on April 17, Hai Ha district had completed collecting opinions from 17,027 voters in the entire district. As a result, 17,002 voters agreed to establish a new commune-level administrative unit, reaching 99.58% (of which 5 communes reached 100%). 16,969 voters agreed to the name of the new commune-level administrative unit, reaching 99.39% (of which 4 communes reached 100%). The results of collecting voters' opinions will be an important basis for the province to complete the plan before submitting it to competent authorities for consideration and decision in the coming time.
