In January 2025, the Rajamangala fire pan was blazing, millions of Vietnamese hearts burst into tears when the men's football team defeated Thailand and won the AFF Cup 2024. In the midst of the sacred moment, captain Do Duy Manh rushed to the stands, hugged SHB Chairman of the Board of Directors - Mr. Do Quang Hien, and choked up: "Uncle, we did it!"

A simple saying, but containing so many emotions, gratitude and trust for the person who has silently accompanied and fueled Vietnamese football for two decades. At the AFF Cup 2024 alone, Mr. Hien's club contributed 5 players - the most in the country. SHB also chartered a plane to bring relatives and fans to Thailand to fuel the fire, then gave the team a "hot" bonus of 7.5 billion VND after the historic championship.

 

Mr. Do Quang Hien and SHB's love for football has never been temporary, but a lasting journey: From sponsoring tournaments, supporting copyrights for the 2022 World Cup, the 2023 Women's World Cup, accompanying the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament... to persistently investing in youth training, creating a foundation for Vietnamese football.

Not only sports, SHB also devotes much effort to education - the root of sustainable development. In 2024, the bank cooperated with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and local authorities to inaugurate two classroom buildings in Dien Bien worth 12.5 billion VND; awarded 10 billion VND to Hanoi National University; 150 computers (3.5 billion VND) to Thai Binh University; along with many equipment and scholarships for schools across the country.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, when society faced a crisis, SHB implemented preferential credit packages, debt restructuring, and interest reductions for hundreds of thousands of customers; at the same time, organized many charity activities, donated medical supplies and food. The total contribution of SHB and businesses in the T&T Group ecosystem to epidemic prevention work amounted to more than 1,500 billion VND.

 

In 2024, when Typhoon Yagi caused severe damage, SHB took the lead in coordinating with the Fatherland Front of localities to survey and provide timely support. In particular, responding to the Prime Minister's call, SHB donated 100 billion VND to Soc Trang province (now Can Tho city) in the program "Warm home for my people", contributing to eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households. At the same time, SHB and T&T Group accompanied the Ministry of Public Security to build hundreds of houses for poor people in Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Son La, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Thai Nguyen... and many schools for children in difficult areas.

These efforts have been recognized by the Government: In 2025, SHB was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".

The highlight of the campaign is a set of cultural gifts imbued with national identity, along with many direct and online interactive activities such as creating pride shirts, historical check-ins, spreading stories about Vietnamese pride... The campaign was quickly responded to by the community, becoming a symbol connecting the heroic past and future aspirations.

 

In particular, on September 2, at the headquarters, branches and transaction offices at home and abroad, all SHB leaders and staff unanimously sang the National Anthem in the red color of the national flag. That image not only evokes sacred emotions but also affirms that corporate culture is closely linked to national spirit.
