On September 27, Westfood Hau Giang Joint Stock Company started construction of the Hau Giang Agricultural and Food Processing Factory Complex (Westfood Hau Giang Factory), located in Song Hau Industrial Park, Chau Thanh District.

Westfood Hau Giang factory is built on an area of ​​7 hectares, with a total investment of more than 666 billion VND, and a capacity of 30,000 tons of finished products/year. The factory is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2025, creating jobs for thousands of workers.

Westfood Hau Giang Factory is a member of the Western Food Processing Export Joint Stock Company - Westfood, with more than 20 years of construction and development. Currently, Westfood owns one of the most modern fruit processing factories in Vietnam in Can Tho. Westfood products have achieved many international certificates, reaching the most demanding markets in the world such as the US, Australia, France, Japan, and Korea.

It is known that Westfood Company has developed raw material areas in Hau Giang. Specifically, Westfood is investing in 150 hectares of King MD2 pineapple raw material area in Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang, of which 30% of the area meets Global Gap standards. In particular, the Company has signed a cooperation contract with Phung Hiep district to develop MD2 pineapple with an area of ​​2,000 hectares. The construction of Westfood Hau Giang factory will be a driving force for Westfood to continue promoting the development of raw material areas, not only King MD2 pineapple but also many other agricultural products.

It is expected that upon completion, Westfood Hau Giang will be one of the largest agricultural processing factories in the West, producing many new, high-quality product lines.
