Provincial Tourism Association supports teachers and students in flood-hit areas of Thuan Hoa

On the morning of October 12, the Tuyen Quang Tourism Association coordinated with businesses and philanthropists to organize a gift giving ceremony to support teachers and students of Thuan Hoa Primary Boarding School, Thuan Hoa Commune, to share the difficulties the school encountered after the floods caused by storm No. 10.

Many gifts including books and school supplies help flood-affected students stabilize their studies soon.

During the recent flood, Thuan Hoa Primary Boarding School suffered heavy damage when the entire classroom area was flooded, with water rising nearly 4 meters in some places. All desks, chairs, computers, books, blankets and school supplies of students were almost completely damaged, with an estimated loss of nearly 2 billion VND. Currently, teachers and students of the school, along with local authorities, are urgently overcoming the consequences, cleaning up and repairing the facilities to soon stabilize and welcome students back to school.

At the program, the Provincial Tourism Association presented many practical gifts including: 1 ton of fragrant rice, 800 new sets of clothes, more than 1,000 notebooks, textbooks and school supplies, 125 bottles of cooking oil, over 30 boxes of instant noodles, candy, milk and 19 bags of blankets and clothes.

Representatives of the Provincial Tourism Association presented gifts and shared difficulties with teachers of the school.

These meaningful gifts contribute to helping the school overcome the consequences of storms and floods, and soon stabilize teaching and learning activities. At the same time, they spread the spirit of mutual love and sharing difficulties of the Provincial Tourism Association for teachers and students in flood-affected areas, giving them more strength to confidently go to school.
