Hotel robots debut at the country's largest tourism service technology exhibition

The exhibition was held at Ariyana Danang International Convention Palace with the participation of 3,500 business representatives, international speakers and guests.

Speaking at the opening session, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that Horecfex 2025 is not only a place to display and introduce the latest ideas, technologies and trends to promote innovation in the field of hotels - restaurants - spas and resort tourism , but also a forum for quality discussion and exchange, gathering experts and leading businesses in the field of services and tourism.

Mr. Triet said that after the merger, Da Nang city expanded its geographical space 10 times, opening up many opportunities for tourism development with new potentials.

Expanding space and diversifying tourism resources will create momentum for Da Nang to become a tourist center, attracting high-quality international and domestic visitors.

Da Nang currently possesses many outstanding advantages in terms of tourism resources and a modern infrastructure system, including an international airport, seaport, road traffic network, and increasingly complete service facilities.

In particular, the number of 4-5 star accommodation facilities in Da Nang is leading the country (164 facilities with more than 31,000 rooms), gathering many of the world's leading hotel management group brands.

In particular, from June 2025, 5-star airline Emirates officially operates the Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang route, opening up great opportunities for tourism development and high-end services.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, tourism is becoming an important economic sector contributing to the overall growth. Vietnam is a destination for tourists from all over the world. With the goal of the future, investing in technology and trends is an inevitable requirement.

Ms. Do Thi Hong Xoan , Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that in the first 6 months of the year, the country welcomed 10.6 million international visitors (up 20.7% over the same period in 2024), with total tourism revenue reaching 518,000 billion VND.

Ms. Xoan stated that the tourism and hotel industry is also entering a new race that requires innovation in thinking, flexibility in strategy and more drastic action than ever before.

"Tourists are increasingly demanding but also willing to pay for real value. Technology is opening up great opportunities for those who know how to take advantage. The trend of developing sustainable and responsible tourism is no longer an option, but has become a criterion that must be implemented.

Domestically, the tourism and hotel industry is also undergoing major changes with the trend of investing more in technology to increase profits and reduce costs," said Ms. Xoan.

3,500 tourism businesses participate in large-scale tourism technology event

Horecfex is the largest specialized forum for hotels, restaurants and catering services in the country, held for the second time in Da Nang with the cooperation of many parties, attracting dozens of domestic and international speakers and representatives of more than 3,500 businesses in the field.

The event was held over two days, August 26 and 27, with many exhibitions, seminars, and exchange programs between partners.

The organizers said they have invested in a technology system worth 42 billion VND, including a system of serving robots and the most modern projection technology equipment in the tourism industry to enhance the experience for attendees.
