Seen from above, the shadows of teachers at Dan Tien Kindergarten (Thai Nguyen) stretch across the muddy schoolyard. After the historic flood receded, the entire school was devastated, and the school mobilized all teachers to scrub and clean up.

Right next door, teachers at Dan Tien Primary School were also busy cleaning up in indescribable sadness. "All the books and notebooks are damaged, the desks and chairs in many classrooms have been soaked with water for days, and are now even more rickety," teacher Hoang Thi Kieu Van shared with tears in her eyes.

Amidst the muddy mess, Ms. Nguyen Mai Huong, a small business owner on Ben Oanh Street near Thai Market (Thai Nguyen), her face and clothes covered in mud, was cleaning her shop after the floodwaters receded. After the flood, her shop suffered damage of 200-300 million VND. "Well, as long as there are people, there is property," Ms. Huong said, forcing a smile.

After two storms No. 10 (Bualoi) swept through, and storm No. 11 (Matmo) arrived with fierce floods, northern provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Cao Bang, and Bac Ninh had to suffer a historic flood, causing terrible damage to the people.

In the "flood center" areas such as Huu Lung, Van Nham, Yen Binh communes ( Lang Son ), the roofs of the village houses that were once peaceful under the rocky mountains turned into rubble, even hospitals and schools were devastated... Thousands of people, after many days of hiding in caves in the rocky mountains or staying at neighbors' houses, waded through water and mud to return home to rebuild their businesses.

The flood waters receded, and the government and people wiped away their tears to clean up, recover, and get back on their feet after the flood.
