Vietnam has entered the final of the U.19 women's Southeast Asia for the fourth consecutive time.
In the semi-finals held on June 16 at Thong Nhat Stadium, the U.19 Vietnam women's team won 4-0 against Indonesia, while Thailand defeated Myanmar with a score of 5-1. Once again, the two teams with a fateful relationship in the region, Vietnam and Thailand, will face each other in the final match, at 6:30 p.m. on June 18.
Notably, this is the fourth consecutive time that the Vietnam U19 women's team has reached the final of the Southeast Asian U19 women's tournament, after four times this tournament has been held (2014, 2022, 2023 and 2025). However, the young Vietnamese girls have yet to win any championship titles at the regional U19 women's tournament. Before the final, the head coach of the Vietnam U19 women's team - Mr. Okiyama Masahiko shared: "Our goal is still to win the championship. The final will be a difficult match and I want the players to have a performance dedicated to the fans."

Up to now, the Vietnamese women's team has scored 20 goals in 4 matches, and has not conceded any. The Japanese coach said that this is a good sign for the team. Accordingly, Mr. Masahiko will continue to let the players improve their defense, aiming for the final match with the Thai U.19 women's team.
Regarding the opponent, coach Masahiko commented: "In the current Thai U.19 women's team, there are 5-6 names in the attack line who play well and all have the ability to be promoted to the national team. We have also trained and gotten used to their speed."

On the other side, the head coach of the Thai U19 women's team - Ms. Nuengrutai Srathongvian shared: "Fortunately, we do not have any players with injuries or health problems. Thailand is ready for the final match. The Vietnamese U19 women's team is a strong team. Facing them is a good experience for us. However, this is also a big challenge."

"The final match will be an opportunity for Thai players to learn and gain experience. We have also analyzed and will have a reasonable strategy for the match with Vietnam. In the past matches, Vietnam's defense has played very well. Therefore, scoring against Vietnam is a big challenge for us. Besides, the Vietnamese team's attack has two outstanding faces: player number 9 (Luu Hoang Van) and number 19 (Ngan Thi Thanh Hieu). We will have a plan to focus on these two players," added the head coach of the Thai U.19 women's team, affirming that the opportunity will be divided equally between the two teams in the championship match.
