Coach Troussier did not call Cong Phuong and Van Quyet to the Vietnam national team.

Nguyen Cong Phuong and Nguyen Van Quyet are not on the list of the Vietnamese team in October. This is the training session for the last series of international matches before the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Asia. The Vietnamese team will play 3 matches against strong opponents such as Korea, China and Uzbekistan.

Coach Philippe Troussier has called up 33 players, nearly half of whom are U23 players. The French coach has clearly shown his intention to experiment, giving a chance to test his skills at a higher level to some young players who have performed well in recent times at U20 and U23 levels.

Cong Phuong is not on the list of Vietnam national team in October.

The Vietnamese team gathered from October 2 in Hanoi . The players of Hanoi Police Club, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi FC and Hai Phong gathered late due to the National Super Cup, AFC Champions League and AFC Cup.

On October 8, the Vietnamese team will travel to China to play two international friendly matches. Coach Troussier and his team will face the Chinese team on October 10 and Uzbekistan on October 13. After that, the Vietnamese team will travel to Korea to play a friendly match with the host team on October 17.
