Truwit is ready to conquer the marathon.

Truwit confirmed that she will participate in the 42.195 km distance at the New York City Marathon 2025 on November 2. The appearance of this female athlete surprised the public and expressed admiration.

Before switching to marathon running, Truwit was an accomplished swimmer, winning two silver medals at the 2024 Paralympics.

Truwit's tragic story began in 2023, when she was attacked by a shark during a scuba diving trip and lost her left leg.

But instead of getting discouraged and losing her will to live, Truwit bounced back strongly. Less than 3 months after the incident, she was back in the pool and training with a prosthetic leg.

By 2024, Truwit had qualified for the Paralympics in Paris, where she won two silver medals in the 100m backstroke and 400m freestyle.

Truwit confirmed that she will be challenging herself to run a marathon with her blade prosthetic. She shared that using this type of prosthetic has its challenges, such as rough roads can cause hip misalignment, steep or uneven terrain is difficult to run, and the lack of ground feel means she has to constantly look down to avoid tripping.

"I thought I would never feel the feeling of running again. But now, I want to turn pain into hope," Truwit confided.

The New York City Marathon 2025 is not only a race to overcome physical limits, but also a powerful message about Truwit's will, aspiration and self-belief.

Shocked by the 100m run of 15-year-old British athlete British athletics prodigy Bronson Hearn-Smith caused a stir when he ran 100m in just 10.65 seconds - an extraordinary achievement with a video that created a stir on social networks.
