Support for families affected by tornado in Bac Lieu

On the afternoon of August 22, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province visited, encouraged and supported 7 households whose houses collapsed or had their roofs blown off in Phong Thanh Tay A commune, Phuoc Long district.

Mr. Tran Van Ut, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province visited, encouraged and supported families affected by the tornado.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province has allocated 74 million VND from the Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Support Fund to support households affected by the disaster that occurred on August 19. Of which, one household whose house completely collapsed was supported with 50 million VND.

At the places he visited, Mr. Tran Van Ut, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province, kindly visited and encouraged households affected by natural disasters to try to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives soon. At the same time, he requested local authorities to urgently mobilize forces to support affected households to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, helping them to stabilize their lives soon.

According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Bac Lieu province, from the beginning of 2024 until now, there have been two storms and tornadoes in the province that damaged 16 houses, of which 14 had their roofs blown off and 2 completely collapsed.
