On the evening of September 2, the meaningful event "Ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs" and screening of the film "Red Rain" took place at Mega Cinema Ly Chi Thang, Ho Chi Minh City. The event is not only a cultural activity but also a sacred ritual, where the heroic and tragic past of the nation is recreated, so that each participant can live fully with infinite gratitude.

A beautiful and touching ceremony was held before the screening. Lotus lanterns were handed out to each attendee. The warm light from the small candles in the lotus lanterns seemed to light up the reverence for the journey of remembrance and gratitude.

Also in the sacred atmosphere of Vu Lan season of filial piety combined with National Day September 2, the flower lantern ceremony of gratitude is an emotional connection, reminding of the meaning of sacrifice.

Venerable Thich Minh An, representative of the Organizing Committee, delivered a profound opening speech, emphasizing the meeting between the nation's morality of "remembering the source of water" and the Buddhist spirit of "gratitude and repayment". "Vu Lan is the season of filial piety. At the same time, it is an occasion for us to remember the merits of our ancestors and the heroic martyrs."

The message is clearly conveyed: Lighting a lantern is lighting up gratitude, connecting the present with the past, so that each person can live worthy of that great sacrifice.

The Gratitude Lantern Ceremony took place in a short period of time with hundreds of candles in the lanterns held high, bringing all hearts to a common beat, to remember, show gratitude and pray for the souls of the heroic martyrs to be reborn in the Pure Land.

It was a silent yet touching moment, where each candle became a promise, an unspoken gratitude. At the end of the ceremony, the movie “Red Rain” – a film adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Chu Lai – was officially screened.

The audience will watch a work that recreates history, depicting the sacrifices of many generations of fathers and brothers so that we can have the independence and freedom we have today." The film, with insider footage, tells the story of the fierce battle at Quang Tri Citadel in 1972.

The 90-minute film is not simply entertainment. It is a journey back in time, witnessing the bravery, resilience and boundless sacrifices of young soldiers. Watching “Red Rain” in that sacred and grateful space, each audience member feels like they are living with, feeling the pain and pride of a time of war.

The film became the most vivid and authentic tribute, going straight to the hearts of viewers. The event created a rare sacred space, where each participant had quiet moments to look back on history, nurture national pride and a sense of personal responsibility in the work of building and protecting the country today. That is the way for us to "continue the story of peace " in a worthy way./.
