Sunflowers bloom bright yellow on the banks of the Saigon River

The sunflower field in the Saigon Riverbank Park (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) is blooming with brilliant yellow color, attracting many people to visit and take photos. On the weekend, many families and young people came here to admire the beauty of thousands of "flowers".

On the morning of February 16, Ms. Do Thi Kieu Nga (52 years old, living in Binh Dinh province) took the opportunity with her friends to take souvenir photos with the sunflower field, on the occasion of a class reunion in Ho Chi Minh City. According to Ms. Nga, in the heart of a modern city, a large riverside park with a brilliant flower field is a suitable place for people to relax and return to nature after stressful working hours.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Nguyen Van Kien - Chairman of Thu Thiem Ward - said that since after Lunar New Year, sunflowers have been in full bloom, creating flower fields, attracting people and tourists to come and take photos every afternoon and on weekends.

"Thu Duc riverside park with sunflower fields has recently created a space for people to relax, thereby promoting tourism and local socio -economic development," said Mr. Kien. He added that the ward has coordinated with units in checking and reminding to ensure order, avoiding picking and breaking flowers.

Ms. Do Thi Kieu Nga (52 years old, left cover) from Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh came to Ho Chi Minh City to visit and take souvenir photos with friends in a sunflower field.

Not only on weekends, but also on weekday afternoons, many people come to visit and take pictures with the sunflower field in the riverside park.

Saigon Riverbank Park from Ba Son Bridge to Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc) will be inaugurated at the end of 2023. The park has many items such as sunflower fields, community activity area, and multi-purpose community activity yard.

The Saigon Riverbank Park on the banks of Thu Thiem is about 20 hectares wide, about 600 meters long with a total capital of about 90 billion VND, invested from socialized sources.

Over time, the park has become a familiar destination for city residents. Inside the park, in addition to trees, walking, playing and sports spaces, amenities such as cafes, wharfs, etc. have also been gradually completed, attracting many people to come and play.

Also according to the Thu Duc Technical Infrastructure Development Center, there are currently about 5,000 visitors per day coming to have fun and check-in at the riverside park, and more on weekends.
