The event was attended by many dignitaries of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, along with representatives of agencies and sectors such as: Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Ministry of Religions and Ethnicities, Vietnam Fatherland Front , and a large number of scholars and Buddhists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Luong Gia Tinh, Vice President of the Academy, informed about the proud training results. Currently, the Academy has nearly 800 monks, nuns and postgraduates studying. In the past school year, the Academy has achieved many outstanding achievements: one postgraduate student successfully defended his doctoral thesis with excellent results, one student completed his master's thesis, and 45 monks and nuns graduated from the Buddhist College. These figures show the comprehensive development of the Academy, from the foundation level to postgraduate level, firmly consolidating its position as a prestigious Buddhist training center.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the awarding of a Doctorate in Buddhist Studies to Venerable Thich Minh Nghia (Truong Thanh Hai), the second person to successfully defend his doctoral thesis at the Academy. This is a testament to the quality of training and in-depth research of the Academy, and at the same time affirms the strategic direction in developing high-quality Buddhist human resources.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Permanent Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, emphasized: “Monks and nuns should always strive to study and practice. After completing the course, become role models, enlighten and guide Buddhists in the place where you practice.”

At the ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Rector and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Academy, beat the drum to open the 2025-2026 school year, officially opening a new chapter in the training of Buddhist monks and nuns.
On this occasion, the Academy presented the Phat Quang Bookcase with more than 1,000 books to 5 schools in Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh; and awarded a computer scholarship to a new student of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology.
