Provincial Red Cross Society received more than 555 million VND to support the Cuban people

On the afternoon of October 8, at Ha Long ward, the Provincial Red Cross Society organized a reception to support the Cuban people from the Fatherland Front Committees of Hong Gai and Cao Xanh wards.

Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society Ly Van Thanh received VND388.1 million from Chairman of the Hong Gai Ward Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Xuan Truong to support the Cuban people.

In this reception, the Cao Xanh Ward Fatherland Front Committee presented 167 million VND, a noble gesture, a spirit of mutual love, contributing to sharing difficulties with the Cuban people.

The Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Gai Ward has donated 388.1 million VND in the second round to support the Cuban people, bringing the total amount of money mobilized from the Fatherland Front Committee and unions of Hong Gai Ward to 488.1 million VND. This is the first ward-level locality in the province to participate in the support and is currently the commune-level unit with the largest amount of support in the whole province up to the present time.

This meaningful activity is part of a series of activities responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to mobilize support for the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960-2025). This is not only a practical action, but also deeply demonstrates the spirit of international solidarity, the steadfast loyalty between the people of Vietnam and Cuba, and continues the fine tradition of humanity of the Vietnamese people.

The leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society received 167 million VND from Cao Xanh ward to support the Cuban people.

According to statistics, through the Provincial Red Cross, from the time of launching (August 13) to October 8, the total amount of money received from agencies, units, organizations and individuals in the province reached nearly 1.8 billion VND.

The activities of receiving support for the Cuban people will be extended by the Provincial Red Cross until October 16, 2025. The entire amount received will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross to send to the Cuban people, ensuring publicity and transparency.
