The 2nd Petrovietnam Party Executive Committee Conference, term 2025 - 2030: Pioneering in national energy creation

The Party Committee of the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam) has just held the 2nd Executive Committee Meeting for the 2025 - 2030 term. The meeting is of special importance, an opportunity for the Petrovietnam Party Committee to review and comprehensively evaluate the results of implementing political tasks and production and business in the first 8 months of 2025; and identify key solutions and tasks for the last months of the year.

Solidarity, unity, meeting development requirements

In his opening speech, Petrovietnam Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung emphasized that Petrovietnam is undertaking a dual mission of maintaining production and business, ensuring growth and national energy security, while creating a foundation for a sustainable energy future, linked to the development strategy to 2030, vision 2050.

The success of the conference will continue to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and unity within the entire Party, arouse the will and determination for Petrovietnam to successfully complete the set strategic goals, and at the same time affirm its pioneering role in creating a green and sustainable energy future for the country.

Regarding the Party building work and implementation of political tasks in recent times, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Petrovietnam Party Committee Tran Quang Dung emphasized that immediately after the success of the 4th Party Congress of the Group, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Group focused on directing the urgent completion of documents, building a system of working regulations, action programs, and inspection and supervision programs for the entire term to promptly disseminate, disseminate and implement the Congress Resolution. The propaganda work of the Congress results was carried out synchronously, creating unity in awareness and action throughout the Party Committee.

Regarding the production and business results in the first 8 months of 2025, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of Petrovietnam Le Ngoc Son said that in the context of strong fluctuations in the international market, oil prices falling compared to the same period, along with the impact of geopolitical conflicts, Petrovietnam still strives to maintain stable production and business activities.

Accordingly, most of the main production and business targets were completed and exceeded the plan by 3.9 - 52%. In particular, total revenue, pre-tax profit and payment to the state budget all recorded positive growth. Total revenue of the whole Group is estimated at 702 trillion VND, equal to 86% of the yearly plan; payment to the state budget of the whole Group is estimated at 99.5 trillion VND, exceeding 9% of the yearly plan, reaching the target 4 months ahead of schedule, all of which grew strongly compared to the same period in 2024. In particular, investment work has many bright spots, with many key projects being urgently implemented, such as the Dai Hung mine development project phase 3, Nhon Trach 3 - 4, Lot B project...

Determined to achieve the highest targets by 2025

In the coming time, Petrovietnam will closely follow market developments, operate flexibly, maximize resources; continue to promote investment, restructure the apparatus in a streamlined and professional direction; improve labor productivity, reduce costs, strengthen financial risk management; determined to fulfill the highest targets for 2025, especially the consolidated revenue target according to the Government 's direction.

In addition, Petrovietnam will resolutely deploy the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term with 9 groups of components, covering Party building, perfecting institutions and mechanisms; corporate governance and management; human resource development and talent attraction; financial management; investment management; science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, creating an epochal breakthrough momentum in the Group's transition period; market development, international cooperation and business; national defense and security.

Speaking at the conference, Petrovietnam Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung affirmed that over the past 50 years, the Group has fulfilled President Ho Chi Minh's wish to build a modern, synchronous oil and gas industry to meet the country's socio-economic development needs. The Group has completed its mission with outstanding achievements demonstrated through "5 An - 5 Nhat".

Of which, “5 An” includes ensuring energy security, economic security, food security, national defense security and social security. “5 Nhat” includes largest scale; highest budget contribution; highest profit; most science and technology awards; most social security activities.

For the 2025 - 2030 term, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung requested the entire Party system to focus on seriously implementing regulations, programs and work plans, ensuring the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress of the Group. Mobilizing maximum resources of "One team, one goal" to complete and exceed production and business targets in the last 4 months of 2025, while creating momentum for the goals of the following years.

In addition, continue to do well in Party building work, especially political and ideological work, thereby striving to achieve major goals, entering the top 500 largest enterprises in the world (Fortune Global 500) by 2030.
