Overcoming challenges, in the first 9 months of 2025, Petrovietnam achieved double-digit growth in consolidated revenue

In the first 9 months of 2025, despite facing a series of challenges from the US's reciprocal tax policy, complex geopolitical developments, climate change, natural disasters, along with the pressure of sharp declines in crude oil prices, Petrovietnam still made its mark with positive production and business results, with the total revenue of the whole Group completing 98% of the yearly plan, consolidated revenue growing by double digits compared to the same period last year.

Petrovietnam ensures safety and smooth operations at construction sites, factories, and drilling rigs, contributing to ensuring national energy security.

This result was achieved thanks to the thorough understanding and serious implementation of the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Central Committees, Ministries and branches; at the same time, promoting the effectiveness of the interconnected and synchronous management system from exploitation, transportation, processing to storage, production and business organization. In all projects, factories and drilling rigs, Petrovietnam maintains absolute safety and smoothness, while ensuring the stability of national energy security.

Bright spots exceeding the plan

The results achieved show that, in the context of a volatile global energy market, Petrovietnam has affirmed its adaptability, management and operational capabilities, and ability to create added value from internal resources.

Specifically, in September 2025, all key production targets of the Group exceeded the plan by 3-78%. Specifically, crude oil exploitation reached 839 thousand tons, exceeding the monthly plan by 28%. Gas output reached 490 million m³, exceeding the plan by 12%. Electricity production reached 2.54 billion kWh, an increase compared to the previous month. The petrochemical sector continued to operate effectively, with gasoline output (excluding NSRP) reaching 688.2 thousand tons, exceeding the plan by 24%. Nitrogen and NPK production both grew impressively. NPK alone exceeded the monthly plan by 29%. Ca Mau Nitrogen Plant completed overall maintenance 5 days earlier than planned.

In the first 9 months of 2025, most production targets exceeded by 5-23%. Crude oil exploitation reached 7.37 million tons, exceeding the 9-month plan by 20%. Electricity output reached 23.92 billion kWh, up 15% over the same period. Gasoline production reached 12.3 million tons (including NSRP), exceeding the plan by 12%; excluding NSRP, output reached 5.83 million tons, exceeding the plan by 15%, up 19% over the same period in 2024. Urea fertilizer maintained high output, reaching 1.4 million tons. NPK broke through with an increase of up to 52% over the same period in 2024.

Contribute to the country's economic growth

To contribute to ensuring the country's GDP growth target of 8.3-8.5% in 2025, in the context of the energy market continuing to fluctuate unpredictably, in addition to optimizing the operations of petrochemical, fertilizer and electricity refineries, Petrovietnam has actively developed and expanded its market share, distribution market of petroleum products, trading products (LPG, LNG) and increasing petroleum service activities at home and abroad.

Notably, in the first 9 months of the year, revenue from new products from scientific research and innovation of the Group is estimated at 6.1 trillion VND; revenue from international business reached 94.7 trillion VND. Thanks to that, despite the challenging market context, all financial targets of Petrovietnam have exceeded the plan for September and the first 9 months of 2025, growing compared to the same period in 2024.

In September alone, Petrovietnam's consolidated revenue, budget payment and pre-tax profit increased by 3-25% compared to the same period in 2024.

In the first 9 months, the total revenue of the Group is estimated at 795 trillion VND, completing 98% of the yearly plan and increasing by 7% over the same period last year. State budget contribution reached 109 trillion VND. Petrovietnam's consolidated revenue reached 484 trillion VND, increasing by 10% over the same period in 2024.

These figures once again affirm that Petrovietnam continues to maintain its pivotal role in ensuring national energy security, being the driving force for socio-economic development, and at the same time creating a solid foundation for breakthroughs in the remaining period of the year.

The impressive results achieved in the past 9 months are a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, effort and creativity of all officers and employees of the Group according to the motto of action that Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung has thoroughly grasped: "Talk less - Think more - Do more - Fast speed - High efficiency" .
