On the afternoon of November 8, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union jointly organized a national conference to honor outstanding farmer members in the movement of all people to protect national security, period 2019 - 2024.

Attending the conference were comrade Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Central Steering Committee for "Implementing the movement of the entire people to protect the security of the Fatherland"; comrade Luong Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and representatives of ministries, departments and branches. In particular, attending the conference were also the presence of 62 collectives and 80 individuals who are outstanding cadres and farmer members in implementing the movement of the entire people to protect the security of the Fatherland, period 2019-2024.

Comrade Luong Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and Comrade Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security spoke at the conference.

Over the past 5 years, cadres and farmer members have provided the police and local authorities with 369,287 valuable sources of information; participated in detecting, denouncing, and preventing 66,434 cases of law violations; reconciled thousands of conflicts and disputes among farmers; and helped educate, support vocational training, and create jobs for 21,050 people who have made mistakes and reintegrated into the community.

At the conference, delegates who are members and typical farmers in the movement of the whole people to protect and secure the Fatherland shared very practical stories from daily life with practical experiences that contributed significantly to the work of ensuring security and order and maintaining peace in the locality.
