Hanoi: Maintaining 175 models and model groups for the whole people to protect national security

In his opening speech, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Head of the City Steering Committee 138 Le Hong Son emphasized: The National Day for National Security Protection is an opportunity to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere among all classes of people to develop the national security protection movement deeply, firmly with high quality and efficiency, meeting the requirements and tasks of protecting security and order in the new situation.

The direction and organization of the "National Day for National Security Protection" in the city has been carried out seriously and systematically, contributing to promoting propaganda and education on patriotic traditions and national pride, raising the sense of responsibility of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the cause of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.

According to the report of Steering Committee 138 of Hanoi city, in recent years, the movement of the entire people to protect the national security of the capital has always been led and directed by the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, branches and levels with many rich contents and forms, suitable to reality. From there, the movement contributes to consolidating and building a solid people's security, people's security posture, "people's hearts posture" - the capital is truly a safe and friendly destination, a symbol of peace and development.

Currently, Hanoi maintains 175 models and model groups, with 90 typical examples in the movement of the entire people protecting national security. The city also maintains 13 models that have been recognized by the Ministry of Public Security. In addition, 23 highly effective models with many good and creative practices have been recognized by Hanoi City.

Hanoi City has evaluated and recognized 102 communes, wards, towns, agencies, enterprises, and educational institutions as exemplary in the movement of the entire people to protect national security (including 57 communes, wards, towns and 55 agencies, enterprises, and educational institutions). Of which, 49 communes, wards, towns, agencies, enterprises, and educational institutions were evaluated as achieving and continuing to maintain and uphold the title for 2 years (2023 - 2024).

Speaking at the festival, Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Public Security, commended and congratulated the achievements in the movement of the entire people to protect national security of Hanoi city.

Regarding the orientation of tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Minister of Public Security requested that Hanoi city continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the directives of the Party and State and the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security on ensuring security and order and building a movement for the entire people to protect national security.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen also requested the city to guide and support 126 commune-level police to quickly stabilize their organization, apparatus, and headquarters, and perform well their professional tasks, especially new tasks, right from the first days of operating in the new area.

In particular, the city focuses on implementing Project 06 well, guiding and supporting the government and people to carry out administrative procedures and public services, ensuring consistency, smoothness, and no "bottlenecks".

Hanoi City Police proactively grasp the situation, promptly advise local Party committees and authorities in implementing new functions and tasks to ensure smooth, synchronous and effective implementation, and prevent security and order problems from arising at the grassroots level. The Capital Police also need to do a good job of advising on consolidating and building forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, core forces at agencies, enterprises, educational institutions, and residential areas...

At the festival, the Steering Committee 138 of Hanoi city honored 39 groups and individuals as typical examples in the movement of the whole people to protect national security in 2025; and presented gifts to 22 policy families in difficult circumstances.
