Consultation workshop on research and evaluation of the implementation results of Decree No. 98/2018/ND-CP of the Government to promote sustainable linkages in agricultural production in Vietnam

On October 3, 2025, the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development organized a consultation workshop to study and evaluate the implementation results of Decree No. 98/2018/ND-CP of the Government to promote sustainable linkages in agricultural production in Vietnam. Also attending were the connecting points of provinces and cities across the country participating online (Zoom app).

At the Workshop, we listened to the report on the assessment of the implementation results of Decree No. 98/2018/ND-CP on policies to encourage the development of cooperation and linkage in the production and consumption of agricultural products by the Center for Information and Services for Agriculture and Environment/ISPAE; The role of Cooperatives in linking the value chain of agricultural products according to Decree 98/2018/ND-CP by MSc. Ngo Si Dat - Deputy Director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Institutions; Sharing experience in consulting on the development of linkages in the value chain of agricultural products by Dr. Tran Minh Hai, Vice Principal of the School of Public Policy and Rural Development; Sharing experience in implementing Decree 98/2018/ND /CP on linkages in the production and consumption of agricultural products; Presentations by a number of Enterprises and Cooperatives on the experience of building linkages in the production and consumption of agricultural products.

At the Son La province bridge, there was comrade Vu Tien Dinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment attending with leaders of the Provincial Cooperative Union, leaders and experts of the Department of Rural Development; Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Aquaculture; Cultivation and Plant Protection; Department of Planning and Finance.

Concluding the consultation workshop, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hoang Yen - Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development requested the departments and specialized agencies to receive the opinions and shares at the workshop of the delegates to advise the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to submit to the Government to amend, supplement or issue a new one to replace Decree No. 98/2018/ND-CP in the coming time. At the same time, it is requested that the provinces and cities continue to research, contribute ideas and send them to the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development for synthesis . /.
