Children's Contest of the Homeland telling stories, promoting and introducing books

On the morning of July 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the Children's Contest of storytelling, propaganda, and book introduction - Summer 2024 with the theme "Footprints of soldiers".

Delegates presented flowers and souvenir flags to the competing teams.

The contest was attended by 13 teams from 13 districts and cities in the province. Within 25 minutes, the teams went through the following competitions: Introduction; storytelling, propaganda, book introduction and talent in the form of dramatization. At the contest, many good books with diverse content were introduced about the heroic history of the nation; praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho; honoring the noble and good qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers; expressing gratitude to the generation of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood to protect the independence and freedom of the Fatherland...

The entries were assessed to be closely related to the theme, carefully invested in, elaborately staged, and rich in creativity from the selection of works, scripts, content, and performance; good presentation skills, confidence, and inspiration contributed to increasing the quality of the entries of the teams.

The contest is a practical activity to propagate and educate children about the glorious history of the 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), creating a healthy and useful playground for teenagers and children in the province to exchange, learn, expand knowledge and life skills. Thereby fostering love for the homeland, educating revolutionary traditions, contributing to encouraging and promoting the reading movement among the young generation, developing a reading culture, inspiring and spreading the love of books and the lifelong learning movement in the community.
