More than 1,000 party members and athletes participated in the Sports Festival to welcome the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress.

The match between the Provincial People's Committee Office Party Committee and the Department of Finance Party Committee took place excitingly.

With the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", the sports festival aims to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, improve health, and create a healthy playground for all cadres and party members in agencies, units, and enterprises under the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee. This is one of the activities with important political and social significance, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, physical training, and improving the spiritual life of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Vo Thi Thu Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the sports festival emphasized: "Health is the most precious asset of every human being, the invaluable asset of every nation and every people. Practicing sports is an active response to the campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

This sports festival is not only an occasion to welcome the Party Congress but also a useful playground, enhancing exchange and learning between cadres, party members and workers, thereby contributing to the successful completion of political tasks of each agency, unit and enterprise.

This year’s sports festival includes two main events: mixed men’s and women’s volleyball and mixed men’s and women’s tug-of-war. These are sports that promote team spirit, coordination and collective strength. Each event has its own competition format, ensuring fairness and transparency, while also encouraging the participation of many amateur athletes from grassroots party organizations.

Party member Hoang Lac Tu Minh, athlete of the Quy Nhon Forestry Limited Company Party Committee, represented the athletes to take the oath.

It is known that the sports movement in agencies and units of Gia Lai province has developed strongly in recent times. The organization of this sports festival not only contributes to improving the physical strength and spiritual and cultural life of cadres, party members and workers but also is an opportunity to arouse the spirit of competition, solidarity and determination to successfully implement the targets and resolutions of party congresses at all levels.

The sports festival attracted 50 delegations with more than 1,000 party members and athletes.
