More than 13,000 athletes compete at the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon 2025

Following the success of the previous 3 seasons, the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon 2025 will officially return on October 5, with approximately 13,000 athletes participating. The event not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also contributes to promoting Hanoi as a dynamic cultural - sports - tourism destination.

This year, the event has a special significance as it is held right after the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. As the first large-scale community sports event in the capital after this important historical milestone, the 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam, under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, with strategic support from Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), continuing the journey of connecting the community through sports.

Marking a step forward in the organization, this year's season adjusted the competition route for two main distances (42.195 km and 21.1 km) to improve the athlete experience, ensure safety and minimize the impact on people's lives. Traffic coordination was implemented synchronously, closely coordinated between the Organizing Committee and the authorities.

This year’s race will take you through 37 prominent landmarks of Hanoi, from historical and cultural structures to modern icons, reflecting a dynamically developing capital. This is not only a sports journey but also an opportunity to explore and experience Hanoi, where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.

Mr. Pham Xuan Tai - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City, said: "The 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is one of the key sports activities of the Capital after the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, contributing practically to promoting the spirit of sports and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people".

The 4th season is expected to gather about 13,000 domestic and foreign athletes, including professional athletes, amateur athletes, celebrities, businesses and the running community. The increase in scale over the years is a testament to the positive change in social awareness, as running is gradually becoming part of an active and healthy lifestyle.

Thanks to that, the tournament has increasingly affirmed its positive influence in promoting a healthy lifestyle, nurturing the spirit of perseverance and the desire to rise up in the era of rising up of the Vietnamese people. Not stopping at the meaning of physical training, the tournament continues to maintain its role as a crossroads between sports, culture and tourism, creating a space of complete experience, where every step carries both the spirit of discovery and national pride.

Along with the growth in scale and influence, this year's season marks an important step forward in organization, with the highlight being the adjustment of the competition route to improve the quality of experience for athletes.

Specifically, the two distances of Marathon (42.195 km) and Half Marathon (21.1 km) will have their race routes adjusted to ensure safety and minimize the impact on people's daily lives. Traffic coordination and control activities will also be implemented synchronously, under close coordination between the Organizing Committee and relevant agencies, aiming for a professionally organized, orderly and effective event.

With reasonable adjustments in operation, this year's route will lead athletes through 37 unique landmarks and constructions - from locations associated with cultural and historical depth to modern highlights, clearly reflecting the multi-dimensional development of Hanoi.

In addition to the official competition distances, the 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon also offers exciting sideline activities, taking place throughout three days, from October 3 to 5, 2025. The highlight of which is the KIDS RUN, a race for young athletes from 5 to 14 years old with two distances of 3km and 1.5km. Not only is it a useful sports playground to help children exercise and build an active lifestyle, the event is also an opportunity for the whole family to bond, when parents directly accompany and cheer on their children on their journey of comprehensive development.

In parallel, the Marathon Village will be an unmissable destination for the community and sports fans. Here, visitors can explore many attractive interactive activities, receive gifts and experience healthcare solutions from brands. This space not only spreads the sports spirit but also promotes connections between athletes, creating a cohesive and inspiring community.
