When the halo clouds reason

Names that once dominated all platforms such as Quang Linh Vlogs, Hang Du Muc, Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, Hoang Huong or most recently Ngan 98, were all considered symbols of success, effort and influence. However, that halo was extinguished after just one indictment.

While Quang Linh Vlogs, Hang Du Muc, Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien were prosecuted for deceiving customers; Hoang Thi Huong (commonly known as Hoang Huong, owner of the Hoang Huong ecosystem) was investigated for violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences; Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan (nickname Ngan 98) was arrested for producing and trading in counterfeit food products. They not only lost their careers and reputations but also deeply damaged the trust of the public, those who once loved and admired them.

Ironically, the fame - which once helped them reach the aura - has become a tool for them to commit crimes. With millions of followers, they can easily promote products, call for cooperation, and create a trustworthy image with just a few videos and a few introductory lines. But they take advantage of that to "shake hands" with businesses to promote poor quality products, or even directly participate in the production and trading of counterfeit goods. Each clip, each seemingly normal sentence becomes "bait" to attract hundreds of thousands of consumers.

The public once loved Quang Linh’s simplicity, admired Thuy Tien’s radiance, or admired Hang Du Muc’s determination… But that love and admiration have now turned into disappointment. They have traded their honor, morality, and even the public’s trust for illegal profits. They forgot that fame cannot be a shield for wrongdoing, and even less can it be a tool to legitimize dishonest actions.

When celebrities break the law, the greatest damage is not in the money or reputation lost, but in the collapse of social trust. Once an “idol” falls, that feeling of disappointment does not stop at the individual, but spreads to the community, making the public more cautious and suspicious of all values honored online. When trust is broken, the line between truth and falsehood, between right and wrong also becomes blurred. That is the deepest loss that society has to bear.

And from those cracks, the public also needs to look back at themselves. The recent incidents are not only a warning for celebrities, but also a lesson for their followers. In the virtual world , where everything can be "polished" - from personal images to advertising products - with just a few steps, the alertness of viewers becomes more important than ever. Don't be caught up in media tricks, don't give away your trust just because of the flashy appearance on the outside. Because trust is something that is very easy to lose, and once lost, it will not be easy to regain.
