In Tuy Hoa ward, the model "Women recycle organic waste into biological detergent" has been implemented since 2019. Taking advantage of orange and grapefruit peels after squeezing the juice, women's union members compost and ferment to produce safe, environmentally friendly dishwashing liquid products. Each month, the model produces 900 - 1,000 liters, creating jobs for 12 women with an average income of 3 million VND/person. Not only reducing waste, the model is also associated with the circular economy , improving the lives of members and creating green products for consumers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong, Head of Tuy Hoa Ward Women Entrepreneurship Club, said: “Up to now, the product has been certified as a 3-star OCOP and has won many awards for women entrepreneurs, including a national encouragement award. The model hopes to expand its scale and reach more customers. From here, it also encourages people to use natural products, contributing to protecting health and the environment."

In the same spirit, women's association members of Phu Lam 1 ward ( Phu Yen ward) have implemented the model "Plastic-reducing mesh bags", contributing to reducing plastic waste in the marine environment. Broken fishing nets of fishermen are recycled into durable, beautiful and useful mesh bags by women. The model creates stable jobs for more than 15 women with an income of about 5 million VND/month. To encourage fishermen to limit littering and form the habit of sorting when fishing, the model also supports mesh bags hanging behind the deck to collect garbage and bring it to shore.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Head of the model, shared: "From the initial credit capital of several tens of millions of VND, the mobilized capital has now increased to hundreds of millions. The model has customers in many provinces, creating continuous jobs for women. From the profits, the association regularly supports poor students and sponsors orphans."

According to Ms. Le Thi Thuy Dang, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Phu Yen Ward, the "Plastic-reducing mesh bag" model was born with the mission of spreading green lifestyle and consumption, reducing plastic emissions, protecting the environment and the ocean; contributing to changing the littering habits of fishermen, aiming to reduce greenhouse gases.

Not only stopping at specific models, the green startup movement of Dak Lak women is spreading strongly, contributing to forming environmentally friendly living habits.

From the grassroots reality, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Dang added: "The association encourages women in the association to replicate the models, both creating jobs, increasing income, and helping to form awareness of waste classification, saving and reusing materials in daily life."

Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Vo Thi Ngoc commented: "In recent times, environmental protection work has received special attention from all levels of the union. In 2025, the union launched the movement "Each union level has an environmental protection project", associated with the model of classifying and treating waste at the source; mobilizing and connecting resources to support the construction of models at the grassroots level. Good and effective models of localities continue to be invested in and replicated."

In particular, to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels, major holidays in 2025 and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025), women's unions at all levels in the province are launching a special emulation campaign "115 projects and tasks for a green - clean - beautiful Dak Lak". This activity creates a vibrant emulation movement, spreading the spirit of action for the environment among members, contributing to building the image of Dak Lak women who are dynamic, creative and responsible to the community.
