(Dan Tri) - Storm Tra Mi caused 51 houses in Da Nang to be flooded, 62 houses had their roofs blown off, damaged 12 hectares of crops, 909 trees were broken and felled, and many traffic facilities were damaged.
On the afternoon of October 27, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang had a quick report on the response to storm Tra Mi and initial damage statistics.
Storm Tra Mi caused heavy rains, flooding 51 houses in Hoa Bac commune (Hoa Vang district). By 5 p.m. this afternoon, the water had receded.

Storm Tra Mi also caused 62 houses in Da Nang to have their roofs blown off. Of these, 53 houses had their roofs partially blown off and 9 houses had their roofs completely blown off.
Regarding agriculture , a boat sank in Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district (Da Nang) and damaged 12 hectares of crops.
The entire city had 909 broken and fallen trees. The highest number was in Hoa Vang district with 439 fallen trees. The entire city recorded 3 110kV power grid failures, 177 transformer stations, and a 22kV line that has not been restored. Some areas still have no power, and are expected to be restored before 6 p.m.

Regarding traffic, on Nhu Nguyet Street (near Thuan Phuoc Bridge, Hai Chau District), the rising river water caused flooding of a section of the road about 150m long. Large waves caused damage, peeling off sidewalk tiles in many places, falling decorative lamp posts on the river side, and soil and sand overflowing onto the sidewalk and roadway.
The Department of Transport has directed the road management contractor to immediately deploy warning work, ensure traffic, clean up and repair damaged sidewalks.
There are 61 road sign locations on the routes that are tilted or fallen and the authorities are working to fix them.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang requested relevant units to urgently handle fallen trees, clean up the environment, and handle waste after storms and floods.
