Continuing the success of the 2024-2025 period, in the 2025-2026 school year, the program scale will be expanded to 26 provinces and cities, aiming to train 100% nationwide, starting at Hai Ba Trung High School, Phu Tho province.
With the goal of contributing to reducing traffic accidents due to the increasingly complicated and potentially dangerous situation of students driving motorbikes, HVN has coordinated with the Traffic Police Department, with the active support of the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training and the accompaniment of the Honda authorized sales and service system (HEAD), to organize a "Legal knowledge and safe motorbike driving skills training course for high school students and vocational training institutions". This activity is part of the traffic safety cooperation orientation for the period 2025-2027 between HVN and the Traffic Police Department agreed and signed on February 14, 2025.
Following the success of the series of 9 pilot programs held last May in the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh , Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City, the "Legal knowledge and safe motorbike driving skills training course for high school students and vocational training institutions" officially returned this September, with the first stop at Hai Ba Trung High School, Phu Tho. The program brings high school students many interesting experiences, knowledge and useful skills, marking the beginning of a training series that will be widely deployed in 26 provinces and cities from September to December 2025, including: Ninh Binh, Lam Dong, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Ha Tinh, An Giang, Son La, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Lao Cai, Dong Nai, Ca Mau, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lai Chau, Thai Nguyen, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Dien Bien, Quang Tri, Bac Ninh, Tay Ninh and aiming to train 100% nationwide in the near future.
Through 9 training sessions organized in the previous phase, the program received the response and high appreciation from students, parents and schools. After the training sessions were designed to be lively, intuitive and easy to understand, students quickly memorized and absorbed the lesson knowledge. At the end of the course, students were tested with theory and practice tests, ensuring that students were fully equipped with knowledge and skills to control motorbikes, so that they could confidently participate in traffic independently and safely. In particular, students also had the opportunity to practice directly with the Honda ICON e electric motorbike model: for high school students, with a compact design, smooth operation, integrated with many safety features, helping students to easily control and parents feel more secure.
In parallel with this program, HVN has also implemented in-depth training on teaching methods of safe motorbike and electric vehicle driving skills for traffic police officers. The training sessions are built on an effective combination of theory and practice, providing officers with direct experience as instructors.
After completing the training course, the officers will deploy training for local traffic police forces. This is an important preparatory step to help the traffic police force effectively deploy and replicate motorcycle driving training activities for students at high schools and vocational training facilities nationwide in the next phase.
The program contributes to building a solid foundation to spread knowledge, raise awareness, change traffic behavior of students - future citizens, contribute to building a safe, civilized and sustainable traffic society, and at the same time realize the goal of the National Strategy to ensure road traffic order and safety for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2045: "NO more deaths due to road traffic accidents", as well as Honda's global goal by 2050: "NO more deaths due to traffic collisions involving Honda motorbikes and cars".
