Meeting of the Steering Committee for Science, Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation

BHG - On the afternoon of April 25, the Provincial Steering Committee for Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation (SC) held its first meeting. Comrade Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Head of the SC; Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Deputy SC chaired the meeting. Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and members of the SC.

Immediately after the Politburo issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, Ha Giang province quickly organized research, study and disseminate the Resolution widely to all cadres, party members and people of all walks of life. Party committees and authorities from the province to the grassroots level have clearly identified this as a key political task and a new driving force for socio-economic development. The Provincial Party Committee has issued an Action Program, completed the Provincial Steering Committee, and assigned specific responsibilities to each department, branch and locality. The Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to concretize the Resolution and put it on the implementation roadmap in 2025.

Discussing at the meeting, the Steering Committee gave opinions on the results achieved and the limitations and shortcomings in implementing Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the province, with 3 main pillars "digital society - digital economy - digital government", moving towards applying artificial intelligence in socio-economic development; Action plan of the Steering Committee to concretize Resolution No. 57; Plan to propagate, mobilize and implement the movement "Digital education for the masses". The Steering Committee also discussed and gave opinions on perfecting the Steering Committee and issuing directive documents related to digital transformation. Solutions for training and fostering human resources for digital transformation.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh emphasized: Digital transformation is an inevitable trend and suggested that the Steering Committee needs to clearly understand it in order to effectively implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation close to the reality in the province, associated with the potential and strengths of the province, such as tourism development, agricultural and forestry production of typical commodities.

Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Tran Manh Loi presented the plan to implement the "Digital Popular Education" movement.

Deploying the tasks of the Steering Committee for the second quarter of 2025, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh requested the Steering Committee to be determined and resolute in concretizing documents of the Central Government and the province; need to be flexible in consulting and operating work; at the same time, adjust tasks to be suitable and close to reality when the political apparatus changes. Review, evaluate and have a plan to train and foster human resources to serve digital transformation; accurately assess the current situation to set clear goals.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Steering Committee members to actively carry out their tasks in the spirit of “5 clear”. Focus on promoting propaganda work for each target group, on that basis assigning clear and specific tasks to each sector; at the same time, estimate the budget to implement the Steering Committee’s action plan.

Regarding the implementation of the "Digital Education for All" movement, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that it should be implemented for each target group, first prioritizing the team of leaders and party members. On that basis, the province will continue to develop a training plan and implement the movement for the next target groups.
