It is expected that Ho Chi Minh City will continue the preliminary rehearsal on the evening of April 25 and the State-level rehearsal on the morning of April 27, before the official parade takes place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30.
The parade and commemorative march in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30 is a national event, organized by the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Ho Chi Minh City.
2nd parade practice: Heroic footsteps on Le Duan street on the evening of April 22
In which, Ho Chi Minh City plays the leading role in implementing, coordinating with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies and units to deploy specific activities.
The parade consisted of 36 groups of armed forces and police, coordinated by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security. The next parade was undertaken by Ho Chi Minh City, consisting of 12 groups with about 13,050 participants.
Of these, 23 blocks belong to the Vietnam People's Army and 13 blocks belong to the People's Public Security.
The Vietnam People's Army bloc includes: officers of the Ministry of National Defense, officers of the General Staff, officers of the General Department of Politics, officers of the Navy, Air Defense - Air Force, Tank - Armored Corps, Military Medical Force, female Army officers, Militia and Self-Defense Force officers and Reserve officers.
In addition, there were also military bands and officers representing the 5 army groups that entered Saigon on April 30, 1975, including: Army Corps 1 - "Quyet Thang Army Group", Army Corps 2 - "Huong Giang Army Group", Army Corps 3 - "Tay Nguyen Army Group", Army Corps 4 - "Cuu Long Army Group" and Group 232.
Soldiers from the Army, Special Forces, Artillery, Engineering, Signal, Logistics, Electronic Warfare, Ranger, Reconnaissance, Guard and Air Force will also participate in the parade, creating a formation demonstrating the combined strength of the Vietnam People's Army.
The People's Public Security Bloc consists of 13 blocks, including: officers of the Ministry of Public Security, officers of the Mobile Police, Traffic, Fire Prevention and Fighting, Criminal, Drug Crime Investigation, Administrative Management of Social Order, Traffic Order and Safety Management, High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control, Environment, Economy, along with the female Police officer block and the Cavalry block.
The parade was organized by Ho Chi Minh City, with 12 groups representing different classes of people. Specifically, groups representing workers, farmers, intellectuals; women; youth - students; children; ethnic minorities; religious organizations; local armed forces; social - professional organizations; overseas Vietnamese communities; businesses; non-governmental organizations and groups representing localities.
In addition to the parade, the program also featured symbolic highlights. Notably, the 21-gun salute ceremony was accompanied by the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The air force will participate in the demonstration with 13 flag-flying helicopters, 9 Yak-130 aircraft and 7 Su-30MK2 aircraft flying in welcome over the sky of Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, the parade also featured special model vehicles, including: a model vehicle with the National Emblem, a vehicle carrying a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, a vehicle with the Party flag, the National flag, and a model vehicle symbolizing 50 years of national reunification.
