In our province, more than 10,000 tons of plastic waste are generated each year. The highest amount is in To Hieu, Chieng Coi, Chieng An, Chieng Sinh wards with over 3,000 tons/year; followed by Thao Nguyen, Moc Chau, Moc Son, Van Son with over 2,000 tons/year. This situation requires raising awareness, changing behavior and specific actions of each individual and collective. The campaign "Make the World Cleaner" is not only about cleaning and collecting garbage, but also sending a strong message: living in harmony with nature, acting together for a sustainable future. This is also an opportunity to spread the spirit of "Each person does a good deed, the whole world is cleaner", turning environmental protection awareness into a civilized and sustainable lifestyle.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong called on cadres, civil servants, union members, youth and people in the province to actively classify waste at source; utilize organic waste as fertilizer, reuse paper, plastic, metal; limit the use of disposable plastic and nylon bags. At the same time, participate in environmental protection activities such as Green Sunday, general cleaning, waste battery collection, planting and caring for trees. Schools need to spread the message of environmental protection through lectures, activities, extracurricular activities and social networks, so that each student becomes a young propagandist.

At the program, students also learned about the origin and harmful effects of waste; how to classify at source and reduce single-use plastic; and participated in a recycled fashion show and skit.
