Ensuring safe and continuous power supply to serve the Provincial Party Congress

The 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, is an important political event of the province. The work of ensuring conditions for the Congress has been carefully prepared in all aspects, including the important task of providing safe and continuous power supply to the venues where the Congress activities take place.

Son La Power Company has proactively developed a plan and overall plan; at the same time, directed the affiliated Regional Power Management Teams and Son La High Voltage Grid Enterprise to establish and strictly implement a plan to ensure stable power supply for Party Congresses at all levels, the 16th Provincial Party Congress, towards the 14th National Party Congress. Proactively developed backup plans to supply and ensure power for all activities during the Congress days. Inspected, reviewed and resolved existing problems and defects in the high, medium and low voltage grid system and transformer stations supplying power to the Congress venues to ensure general power supply for the system.

Units under Son La Electricity Company have focused on implementing plans to ensure power supply for the organization of Party Congresses at all levels and the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. Up to now, periodic inspections combined with CBM level 1 (maintenance performed online without interrupting customer power supply) have been carried out on 1,470 km of medium-voltage lines; periodic inspections have been carried out on 456 km of low-voltage lines; periodic inspections have been carried out, combined with CBM level 1 and level 2 (supplying additional power, supporting replacement or stopping power supply to carry out) at 235 transformer stations supplying power to venues of Party Congresses at all levels.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, Deputy Director of Son La Power Company, said: During the days of Party Congresses at all levels, especially the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, Son La Power Company directed its affiliated units not to implement planned power outages on power lines and transformer stations that affect the power supply to the Congress venues, except in cases of incident handling. Organize on-duty staff to strengthen leadership, operate and repair electricity 24/24 hours during the Congress days. Prepare enough manpower, materials, equipment, means of transport and arrange backup generators to promptly handle incidents, change operating methods or run backup generators, quickly restore power when incidents occur.

Directly performing the task of supplying electricity to the venues hosting the activities of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, the To Hieu Regional Power Management Team proactively coordinated with event organizers to survey, establish and implement plans to ensure safe and stable electricity supply during the Congress: Provincial Conference Center; Uncle Ho Fish Pond area and the Fountain - Northwest Square area and accommodation facilities of the Congress delegations. Coordinated with local authorities to protect security, fire prevention and fighting for electrical works and locations for direct operation and repair of the power grid.

Mr. Hoang The Van, Deputy Head of the To Hieu Regional Power Management Team, informed: The unit has assessed the current status of the power grid, the load situation, and the capacity of the power sources to develop a suitable plan. Accordingly, the power supply system for the Provincial Convention Center and event venues, and accommodation facilities for delegates is in normal operating conditions, not overloaded, ensuring safety. In addition, the installation of a power supply system for the event venue is also deployed; power lines and a distribution cabinet are installed behind the main stage of the Convention Center, connected from the transformer station to supply power to the sound, lighting and LED screen systems. Backup generators are arranged at the venues of the Congress and the welcome activities to provide stable, safe and reliable power supply.
