A source from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the new product introduction process will be launched for the first time in India with the iPhone 17 generation.

During this process, Apple and its suppliers will outline the manufacturing process to turn its latest designs into real products, from which to mass produce.

This is seen as a major turning point for Apple and the company's supply chain.

It is expected that the two standard iPhone 17 versions will be planned to be developed and manufactured in India. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro duo will still be developed in China to minimize risks.

Apple is also making efforts to boost iPhone production in India. The latest report said that the country is producing about 12-14% of the global iPhone production.

The company expects to increase this ratio to 20-25% by 2024.

"Foxconn's production scale in China is expected to decrease in 2024. The reason comes from the expansion of production activities of factories in India as well as the allocation of iPhone orders with LuxShare," Kuo said.

Previously, analyst Ross Young said that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus duo will become the first standard iPhones equipped with screens with a high refresh rate of 120Hz.

This screen will use LTPO technology, similar to the current iPhone Pro. At the same time, the size of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus will also be increased to 6.27 inches and 6.86 inches respectively.

Meanwhile, the two iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to become the first iPhones equipped with the Face ID facial recognition system under the screen.
