Hnammobile chain announced closure

A famous technology retail chain in Ho Chi Minh City has just announced its closure, surprising many users, because it used to be a place to buy technology products at very competitive prices.

On September 29, the Hnammobile retail chain suddenly announced that it would close from October 1, 2025, after more than 20 years of operation in the market.

Sharing the reason for closing, the system only said: "This was an extremely difficult decision, but in the context of an unfavorable market, we were forced to close this journey."

Regarding warranty responsibility for products purchased by users at the system, Hnammobile representative said: "All warranty requests will still be received and processed until the warranty period expires according to the original conditions and regulations when the customer purchased the product."

According to Tuoi Tre Online 's investigation, Hnammobile's announcement of closure surprised many users but was "not difficult to understand" for retail business insiders.

One of the reasons said to be causing difficulties for this retail chain is that the retailing of technology products in Vietnam is increasingly fierce, due to fierce competition from many businesses in the market.

In particular, the retailing of Apple products is becoming increasingly more difficult due to strict policies from the company, competition from retailers, as well as rapidly changing sales policies for the Vietnamese market.

Hnammobile's failure to become an Apple Authorized Reseller (AAR) in Vietnam is considered an important factor leading to the chain's failure.

Retailers who fail to achieve AAR status will lose their competitive advantage in terms of product supply and price compared to other authorized dealers.

Since its inception in 2006, Hnammobile has been chosen by many users because it sells quality products at competitive prices. By 2017, the chain had grown the most with about 20 stores in Ho Chi Minh City.

The failure of Hnammobile is proof that retailing technology products, especially iPhones, in Vietnam is increasingly not "easy" for domestic businesses, even though the selling price of iPhones and the shopping needs of Vietnamese users are increasing.
