The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition officially opened for free for people to visit and experience from the morning of December 21. During the day, the Exhibition Organizing Committee recorded about 100,000 people registering to visit.
To create maximum conditions for people to visit the exhibition, on December 22, the Office of the Ministry of National Defense issued Document No. 11921/VP-DN conveying the opinion of Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee on extending the opening time of some booths to December 23 (originally scheduled for December 22).
Specifically, extending the service time for the people for some booths of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) such as shooting, AI technology...; the exhibition area "Achievements in building the people's armed forces, building the national defense", cultural space and food service area. Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien assigned the Exhibition Organizing Committee to direct the sub-committees to serve attentively, ensuring absolute security and safety for people coming to visit.
On the first day of opening, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense were present at the exhibition to inspect some of the work. On the afternoon of December 21, visiting and inspecting the reception of people at the exhibition, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien encouraged the serving forces; thoroughly instructed and directed relevant departments to create maximum conditions and ensure absolute safety for people when visiting; and research to extend the opening hours of some Vietnamese booths to welcome people to visit and experience.
The organizing committee, the standing agency, and military enterprises create the most favorable conditions for people to access the products. The security units maintain their tasks well, especially traffic organization.
According to the Exhibition Organizing Committee, it is estimated that this year's exhibition will have a large number of registered people. Therefore, the Organizing Committee has prepared many different scenarios, with the spirit of creating maximum conditions, creating the most convenience and safety for people when coming to the exhibition, making efforts to ensure both security, safety and food hygiene and safety issues.
On December 21, residents and visitors will be able to visit the exhibition for free from 9am on December 21, instead of 1:30pm as originally scheduled. Previously, the Organizing Committee had also specifically announced the change in this time frame.
According to records, on December 21-22, many visitors arrived early in the morning to wait to visit the equipment and weapons. People who want to visit must register in advance at: https://vietnamdefence.vdi.org.vn. Go to the "Register to visit" section in the right corner of the screen and follow the instructions. The information on the citizen identification card when visiting must match the registered information.
To maintain order and ensure safety, security forces instructed people to line up in blocks, giving priority to the elderly and children. Security forces also reminded people to comply with the dress code as well as other regulations in the tourist area.
Specifically, for armed forces, military uniforms are required; for visitors, appropriate and polite attire is required, and no slippers, flip-flops, or shorts are required. The organizers will refuse visitors with inappropriate attire/behavior to enter the exhibition area.
