'Border Connection 2025': Bringing Mid-Autumn Festival to the border areas

On September 20, the Dien Hong Ward Delegation (HCMC) organized the program "Border Connection 2025", bringing Mid-Autumn Festival to children in border communes of Tay Ninh province.

In Phuoc Vinh commune, the working group organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for 300 disadvantaged children from ethnic minority households living near the border.

In addition to 300 gifts including white notebooks, red scarves, stuffed animals, etc., the delegation also organized medical examinations and gave medicine to 200 local people.

At Hao Duoc commune, the delegation presented the "National Flag Road" to the local government; 200 Mid-Autumn gifts to students and children in difficult circumstances in the commune.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation also visited, exchanged and gave gifts at Lo Go Border Guard Station.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Hong Ward Nguyen Kim Trung said that Dien Hong Ward was established on the basis of merging Ward 6, Ward 8, Ward 14 (formerly belonging to District 10). The population is 74,459 people, of which 10,858 are ethnic minorities.

The program "Border Connection 2025" bringing Mid-Autumn Festival to many border areas in Tay Ninh is one of the activities to welcome the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations of Dien Hong ward (term 2025-2030), in which, promoting the role, constantly consolidating and expanding the great national unity bloc, strengthening social consensus, gathering and mobilizing people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, specifically mobilizing many resources for the program.

At the program, children also received free haircuts by skilled barbers.

According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tay Ninh province, the locality has 17 ethnic minorities with 36,902 people, 13,594 households, accounting for 1.13% of the province's population.

In 24 areas where ethnic minorities live in concentration (ranging from a few dozen to a few hundred households/area), the Khmer ethnic group accounts for the majority, with 20,045 people, accounting for 0.62%; Cham 6,355 people, accounting for 0.2%; Hoa 2,314 people, accounting for 0.07%;...

The implementation of programs and policies towards ethnic minorities has contributed to creating momentum for economic development, ensuring social security, and maintaining border security./.
